A place for 2 that isn't boring in up state Ny?

I am trying to find some place in upstate ny that isn't the same old thing. I am getting married in June. We don't to pay a lot of money just to be bored. We really don't have the money to go to far. We are thinking of doing day trips here and there. But I think we have done everything in the Lake George area. I refuse to go anywhere in Albany
