When is it okay to talk money at a job interview?

I have never found it appropriate to talk money during an interview, unless the interviewer brings it up. A salary is usually contingent upon your qualifications, and how you present yourself in the interview(s) can work in your favor to increase it. So, talking about money in the interview is kind of jumping the gun.
