Will a Windows XP authorization code work for Vista?

I have a Windows XP disk and I have used its authorization code the maximum amount of times (Which Microsoft conveniently lowered from 4 uses to one use.) I have an unused Windows Vista authorization code and I was wondering if I could use that instead.
