My dad is annoying me on what I should be in life???? Can't he support my descisions and mean it?

I want to be a doctor specializing in plastic surgery for facial reconstruction. I am in 10th grade, currently taking AP science and math. I love how the human body works, and I want to help people. Only problem is that my dad underestimates me. He doesn't want to pay for med school, he thinks I'll get sued a bunch of times, and so on and so on. And where does he want me to work???? As a agent for the Cal/EPA (California Environmental Protection Agency). That doesn't interest me at all, and when I try to tell my dad that, he always says “Well Malicia, sometimes you have to get a job not for fun, but for profit. This job has as much profit as a surgeon.” Me, being stubborn, would usually scoff and leave it at that. Plus, my dad does “support” me, but he flinches every time he says “Malicia, you will be a great doctor.” it hurts my feeling that he doesn't support me, and I don't have a mother, so I am sad and annoyed. Now I have a scholarship to UCLA and he still doesn't like my decision, so why does my dad not support me? Don't get me wrong, I love my father. He is the only parent I have and we're really close. Its just that we bicker on this topic every time it is brought up by either me, or him.
