Do you believe maternal love is unconditional?

I have a child, and Im even more protective of him than I am the rest of the kids.I didn't think I would be before I had him, but when I saw him for the first time,I vowed to him and myself that I would always protect him from the harsh truth.Not only that but no matter how upset I am with any of my children I would still give my life to save thiers, without question, or forethought.It's instintive.I got hit by a car full force in the back ,because my first instict was to turn away fom a bad driver that was headed for me,while I was 5 months pregnant.I cried for fear of the unborn baby,and didn't even realize how badly I was hurt until the amblance people forced me on that bed thingy.So yes the maternal bond Is the strongest love I've ever experienced.
